Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pete Levy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tong Tsu Cao! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Levy avoids the elbow strike from Tsu Cao, against the cage.
Tsu Cao looks to throw an elbow but misses. Tsu Cao is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Levy is defending well for now. Tsu Cao trying to land knees to the body.
Tsu Cao wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Levy avoids a wild elbow strike from Tsu Cao. Tsu Cao scores with a knee to the head.

Tsu Cao has had enough of the clinch but Levy keeps him there for the moment.

Levy has Tsu Cao pressed against the cage.
Levy is trying to trip Tsu Cao. He has hold of a leg but Tsu Cao is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Levy persists though and gets the takedown into guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Levy working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tsu Cao's head. Tsu Cao bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Levy's guard. Levy pulls Tsu Cao in close to his closed guard and prevents Tsu Cao from doing any damage or advancing position. Levy is looking for a triangle but Tsu Cao pushes his legs off easily.
Levy looking for a sweep. Not yet Levy, not yet. Tsu Cao is fighting to break Levy's control of his arms but Levy is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Tsu Cao stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Levy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Levy pulls Tsu Cao in close to his closed guard and prevents Tsu Cao from doing any damage or advancing position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Levy tries to land a sweep but no joy. Levy controlling Tsu Cao's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Pete Levy just wasn't active enough. Tsu Cao tries to clinch up and Levy counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Levy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Levy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tsu Cao swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tsu Cao working a defensive guard here.

We're going to have a standup here because Pete Levy wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Levy uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tsu Cao. Tsu Cao moves to clinch but Levy breaks away and Levy counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Tsu Cao! Levy controlling from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Pete Levy. Tsu Cao throws a leg kick which misses Levy's front leg but catches the back leg as Levy tries to avoid it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Levy takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Levy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tsu Cao was well out of range. Poor timing from Levy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tsu Cao misses with an uppercut. Tsu Cao moves in looking to clinch but Levy pushes him off. Tsu Cao tries to close the distance and clinch up but Levy swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tsu Cao darts in trying to clinch and Levy counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Tsu Cao! Levy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Tsu Cao is trying desperately to improve position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Levy looking to control and managing it successfully. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Tsu Cao misses with a wild body shot. Tsu Cao moves to clinch but Levy breaks away and Levy counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Levy content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pete Levy has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Tsu Cao throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Tong Tsu Cao is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Tsu Cao loads up on a big right hand but Levy slips the punch. Levy shoots in but Tsu Cao avoids the takedown attempt easily. Levy moves away from the strike by Tsu Cao. Levy looking to score a takedown here. Tsu Cao is defending well but Levy drives through and ends up in Tsu Cao's guard. Levy passes the guard and advances to mount! Tsu Cao is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Levy controlling the position easily from mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tsu Cao lands with a hook. Levy tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Tsu Cao fails in his attempt to clinch. Tsu Cao tries to clinch but Levy moves away and Levy counters with a nice double leg into guard. Levy controls from within his opponent's guard. Levy stopping the sweep attempt from Tsu Cao. Levy tries to free his leg and advance position but Tsu Cao is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Tsu Cao trying to strike off his back.
Levy slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Pete Levy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Tsu Cao throws a push kick but Levy slaps the foot to one side. Levy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tsu Cao looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. You can see the frustration on Tsu Cao's face as Levy controls the position. Levy scores with a couple of short elbows. Levy staying calm. Levy has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Levy creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Levy works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Tsu Cao is rocked! Tsu Cao takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Levy staying calm. Tsu Cao takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Tsu Cao is still in real trouble! Can Levy finish him?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Levy controlling the position. Tsu Cao seems to have recovered his senses. Levy prevents Tsu Cao from escaping the position. Tsu Cao is working to avoid the ground and pound but Levy connects with a decent elbow. Levy controls the position from side control. Tsu Cao tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Levy wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Tong Tsu Cao has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Levy taking a breather here.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pete Levy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Levy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tsu Cao for as long as he can get away with.
And that's the end of the fight! Pete Levy showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Levy, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
