Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brad Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Sahebt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bennett comes to the cage accompanied by Stemm - Face The Pain. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brad Bennett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Sahebt!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Sahebt looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sahebt tries to clinch up.
Bennett misses with a two punch combination.
Sahebt staying out of range there.
Bennett goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Johnny Sahebt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sahebt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bennett thows a left - swing and a miss!
Sahebt ducks under a wild hook from Bennett.
Sahebt is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Sahebt takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Sahebt has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bennett avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Sahebt gets underhooks to prevent Bennett's takedown attempt.
Sahebt wants to take the fight to the mat but Bennett manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Sahebt using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bennett has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Sahebt has Bennett pressed against the cage, preventing Bennett from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Sahebt tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Bennett avoids it.

Sahebt is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bennett is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sahebt to the mat. Sahebt regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Sahebt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bennett manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Bennett throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sahebt on the side of the head.
Bennett is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sahebt.
Sahebt fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Sahebt fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bennett sprawls well initially but Sahebt persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Bennett bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sahebt's guard.
Sahebt not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Sahebt shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sahebt closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Bennett scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A cross from Bennett lands.
A jab from Bennett finds it's way through Sahebt's defenses.
Sahebt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bennett is fending him off so far but Sahebt persists. Nope, Bennett circles away and we're back to standing.
Sahebt shoots in for a takedown but Bennett shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Brad Bennett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Sahebt.
Sahebt takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Sahebt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sahebt shoots in looking for a takedown. Bennett tries to sprawl out of it but Sahebt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bennett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bennett throws a combination. Sahebt tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Sahebt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bennett manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bennett holds on and takes a little breather.

Sahebt is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bennett is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bennett has escaped and now he's on top!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bennett is working Sahebt over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Sahebt is looking to regain half guard here but Bennett keeps moving and retains side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Bennett connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Sahebt takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


Sahebt is rocked!
Brad Bennett is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sahebt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bennett's waist but Bennett gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sahebt off to one side.
Sahebt is still on wobbly legs! Can Bennett finish him?

Sahebt gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Sahebt has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Sahebt is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bennett is defending well for now.
Bennett is looking to break free of the clinch but Sahebt has double underhooks.

Bennett turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Bennett is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sahebt can do to turn this around?
Bennett wants to control but Sahebt is keeping him busy.
Bennett lands a few punches from side control.
Bennett scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Sahebt is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Bennett can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
