Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Piltz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Pacino Delegratti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piltz's entrance music is I'm too Sexy. A fine choice. Mark Piltz could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Al Pacino Delegratti's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Piltz! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Al Pacino Delegratti! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piltz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Delegratti looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Piltz throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Delegratti wants to clinch. A head kick by Delegratti misses enabling Piltz to counter with a crisp jab. Piltz throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Delegratti tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Piltz is in Delegratti's guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Delegratti can do anything to dispel that myth. Piltz working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Delegratti really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Piltz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Piltz throws a big elbow that misses. Piltz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Piltz looking to pass the guard. Piltz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Piltz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piltz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Piltz working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Piltz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Piltz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Piltz throws a big right hand that misses. Piltz controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Piltz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Piltz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Delegratti swivels though and keeps the full guard. Piltz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Piltz throwing strikes from guard but Delegratti blocks nicely. That's three minutes gone in the round. Piltz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Piltz drops back looking for a leg! Delegratti is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Delegratti manages to kick Piltz off! Piltz jumps back into Delegratti's guard. Piltz distracts Delegratti with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Piltz scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Piltz drops back looking for a leg! Delegratti is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Delegratti manages to kick Piltz off! Piltz jumps back into Delegratti's guard. Piltz content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Piltz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Piltz trying to control the position from guard on top but Delegratti is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Piltz dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Delegratti shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Piltz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Delegratti is not content to let Piltz control the position. Piltz is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Delegratti is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Piltz creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Delegratti is rocked! Delegratti is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piltz looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Delegratti is still in real trouble! Can Piltz finish him? Piltz is trying to get an arm triangle but Delegratti is defending well. Piltz is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Delegratti has escaped the position, nice work there. Delegratti seems to have recovered his senses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Piltz sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Delegratti is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Piltz works to advance to full mount. Delegratti defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Piltz raining down hammerfists from mount. Piltz softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Delegratti is out cold! Piltz jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Piltz! Mark Piltz retains his middleweight title! Mark Piltz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
