Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Decon Starian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blade Toorop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Starian comes to the cage accompanied by I need a hero. Toorop has chosen Rasputin as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Decon Starian has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Decon Starian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blade Toorop!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toorop closes the distance and pushes Starian back into the cage.
Toorop drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Starian gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Starian lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
A short uppercut from Starian.
Starian misses with the head strike.
Toorop is working for takedown but Starian is calmly controlling the position for now.
Toorop prevents a body shot from Starian.
A hook to the body from Starian.
Starian has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Toorop is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Starian scores with a shot to the side of Toorop's head.

Toorop tries to work over Starian's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Toorop misses with some punches.
Toorop wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Starian has him pressed against the cage.
Starian lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Toorop.
Toorop gets underhooks to prevent Starian's takedown attempt.

Toorop swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Starian tightens his grip and picks Toorop up, before dumping him to the ground. Toorop manages to land in guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Starian wants to control but Toorop is keeping him busy.
Toorop is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Starian jumps into side control!

Starian has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Toorop.
Toorop swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A combination from Starian does no damage.
Toorop doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Toorop takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Starian lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Starian stuffs the takedown attempt from Toorop. Toorop gets slowly back to his feet.
Decon Starian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blade Toorop.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Toorop.
Starian slips a jab from Toorop.
Starian connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

The crowd cheers as Starian lands an impressive looking overhand right. Toorop doesn't seem phased though.
Toorop shoots in looking for a takedown but Starian manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Toorop's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Starian works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Toorop looks to throw the jab but Starian is out of range.
Toorop tries to score a power double leg takedown but Starian sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Toorop somewhat.
Starian lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Toorop shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Starian looking to hit a scissor sweep but Toorop is one step ahead there.
Decon Starian overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Toorop creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Starian prevents Toorop from moving into mount.

Starian tries to buck Toorop off but Toorop is having none of it.

Toorop with the ground and pound but Starian regains half guard under the barage of strikes.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Toorop connects with a nice short shot to Starian's temple.
Starian slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Toorop trying to control the position from guard on top but Starian is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Toorop slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Starian is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Toorop is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Starian is trying desperately to improve position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Toorop lands a big elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Blade Toorop will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Toorop fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Starian manages to avoid it.

Starian moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Toorop takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Starian throws a good cross that connects.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Starian lunges at Toorop with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Toorop's hand.
Toorop takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Starian digs a good body shot into Toorop's ribs.
Toorop is still on wobbly legs! Can Starian finish him?
Starian cracks Toorop with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Toorop tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Starian pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Toorop is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Decon Starian!
