Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Corbin Latrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jethro Sherdog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sherdog gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Sherdog throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Latrell might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Latrell wants to get up but he can't break Sherdog's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Sherdog looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Latrell decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sherdog, up you get! Sherdog misses with a double jab
and Latrell counters by clinching up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sherdog is fighting off a takedown attempt but Latrell is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sherdog to the mat. Sherdog regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Sherdog escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Latrell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Latrell avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Latrell decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sherdog, up you get! Latrell bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sherdog is trying to work for a sweep but Latrell has mounted him! Latrell stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Sherdog thuds a left hand into Latrell's body. Latrell closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Latrell gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Latrell stands and steps away. Sherdog gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Sherdog throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Latrell gets the takedown into side control. Sherdog is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Sherdog manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sherdog looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Sherdog looks gassed! Sherdog gets back to full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Latrell gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Latrell takes the fight into the clinch. Latrell lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sherdog is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Latrell pulls his head out easily. Sherdog looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Sherdog actively working from the bottom here. Latrell tries to stand but can't do so whilst Sherdog controls his leg. Sherdog is trying to get back to full guard. Sherdog gets tackled into the cage by Latrell. Latrell maintains the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sherdog had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Latrell defends it easily. Latrell trying to stand up but can't free himself from Sherdog's guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Latrell instigates a clinch. Sherdog pulls guard effortlessly. Sherdog escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Latrell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sherdog is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Latrell is aware though and is defending well. Latrell wanted to stand there but Sherdog had control of the position. Sherdog has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Latrell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Latrell gets to his feet. Sherdog looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Latrell forces Sherdog back against the cage and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sherdog tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Latrell just stands there and leans against the cage. Sherdog is breathing heavily. Latrell pulls guard successfully.
Latrell kicks Sherdog off and gets to his feet. Latrell clinches. Sherdog tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Sherdog jumps guard but Latrell turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Corbin Latrell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jethro Sherdog. Sherdog is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Latrell to keep the fight standing. Latrell jumps guard and drags Sherdog to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Latrell scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Latrell uses from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Latrell decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Latrell dives in and scores a takedown into Sherdog's guard. Latrell stands up and waves to Sherdog to follow him. Latrell pushes Sherdog up against the cage in a clinch. Sherdog jumps guard but Latrell stands there with Sherdog around his waist. Sherdog gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sherdog has his foot on Latrell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Latrell works his way back into a safe position though.

Latrell gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Corbin Latrell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Latrell clinches up with Sherdog and pushes him back against the cage. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Latrell. Latrell has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Sherdog regains guard immediately. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sherdog is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Latrell defends well. Latrell wanted to stand there but Sherdog had control of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Latrell has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Sherdog to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Latrell is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Sherdog pulls down on the head and he's put Latrell to sleep! This one is all over!
