The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corleone dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gauge. That did some damage!
Corleone rushes Gauge and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Corleone lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Corleone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Corleone.
Gauge's jab looks to have found its range, popping Corleone under the eye.
It looks like Sonny Corleone has been cut.
Gauge is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gauge moves out of range as Corleone throws a body kick.
Corleone dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gauge checks a leg kick.

Gauge misses with a wild body shot.
Gauge blocks a low kick nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gauge fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Corleone manages to avoid it.
Gauge tries to close the distance and clinch but Corleone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Corleone uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gauge.

Corleone dodges the punch combination from Gauge.
Corleone lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Gauge tries to clinch but Corleone moves out of range.
Gauge tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Corleone paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Corleone ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gauge moves away.
Gauge throws a head kick that misses
and Corleone counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gauge connects with the punch.
Gauge misses with a looping left.
Gauge tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gauge doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Gauge is looking to clinch but Corleone is avoiding it.
Corleone works Gauge's body with a nice hook.
Gauge is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gauge fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Corleone manages to avoid it.
Corleone lands with a thumping leg kick.
Gauge throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Corleone throws a shot to the body.
Corleone throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gauge tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Corleone just misses with a elbow thrown towards Gauge's brow.
Gauge lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Corleone or not.

Corleone is pushing Gauge up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Corleone lands with a short head shot on the inside.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Corleone.

Gauge blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Corleone digs a right hand into Gauge's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Gauge's gas tank.
Corleone lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Gauge backwards.

Gauge managing to block the knees to the body from Corleone.
Corleone tries to work over Gauge's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Corleone lands a right hand that snaps the head of Gauge backwards.
Gauge is trying to break the clinch but Corleone is controlling him.

Gauge misses with the head strike.
Gauge tries to stall but Corleone uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Corleone takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Come on Corleone - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gauge wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Corleone has him pressed against the cage.
Corleone keeps control of Gauge as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Corleone tries to work over Gauge's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Corleone lands a right hand.
Gauge on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Corleone throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Corleone lands a nice knee to the body.

Oh Gauge is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Corleone pushes Gauge against the cage. Corleone is working some dirty boxing. Corleone pushes off with a quick right hook! Gauge goes down! Gauge tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Corleone moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sonny Corleone!
