Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Benevides!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benevides tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Layden counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Layden controlling from the top position.
Layden has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Benevides looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Layden lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Layden throws a big elbow that misses.
Layden stands up over Benevides, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Layden works over Benevides with some ground and pound from guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Benevides uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Benevides with a lazy takedown attempt
and Layden counters with a three punch combo that has Benevides backing up. Benevides nods at Layden to acknowledge the strikes.
Benevides dives in and grabs Layden's left leg, looking for a takedown. Layden pushes down on Benevides's head and hops out.
Benevides tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Layden shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Layden was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Layden postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Benevides looks a forlorn figure.

Benevides is in a horrible position here. Layden smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Benevides is still in real trouble! Can Layden finish him?
Layden postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Benevides is out cold - huge knockout for Layden!
