Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ramon Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beau Oxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hernandez comes to the cage accompanied by Dysfunctional. Oxer has chosen Pretender - Foo fighters as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oxer fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Hernandez lands a nice looking kick to the body. Oxer takes a step back to recover.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hernandez lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Oxer has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Oxer and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Hernandez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Oxer throws a nice looking combination but Hernandez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Oxer takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Hernandez throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Oxer.
It looks like Beau Oxer has been cut.

Oxer cracks Hernandez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Hernandez counters with a good, hard body kick but Oxer shrugs it off.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Hernandez makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Oxer really felt that one!
Oxer is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hernandez had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Hernandez has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
