PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between JJ JJ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Profile Loollik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Profile Loollik told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, JJ JJ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Profile Loollik!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loollik shoots in looking for a takedown but JJ manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Loollik's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
JJ fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Loollik takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Loollik rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but JJ moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
JJ bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Loollik's head.
JJ avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Loollik gets caught napping as JJ dives in and scores a takedown. Loollik manages to retain guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
JJ is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
JJ seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Loollik for as long as he can get away with.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of JJ JJ.
Loollik looks to land a combination but JJ avoids it well.
Loollik misses with a jab, cross combination.
JJ has a takedown stuffed.
JJ throws a one two combo.
JJ tries to clinch up.
Loollik avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Loollik dives in and grabs JJ's left leg, looking for a takedown. JJ pushes down on Loollik's head and hops out.
Loollik is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
JJ really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
JJ lands a left and a right that send Loollik crashing to the mat, dazed. JJ thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Loollik is rocked!
It looks like Profile Loollik has been cut.
Loollik looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
JJ decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
JJ stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
JJ shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Loollik manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Loollik wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and JJ is now in half guard.
JJ has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Loollik defend it? JJ steps over the head and cranks it - Loollik is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for JJ!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). JJ JJ!
