Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alistair Ubereem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Hagler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alistair Ubereem! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marvin Hagler! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hagler tries to land a front kick but Ubereem steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Ubereem throws a nice inside leg kick. Hagler avoids a punch combination nicely.

Hagler thuds his right hand into Ubereem's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Nice defenses there by Ubereem. Ubereem looks to score with a jab to the body but Hagler is just out of range. Ubereem scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
It looks like Marvin Hagler has been cut. Hagler swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hagler takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ubereem thumps Hagler with a low kick. Hagler thows a left - swing and a miss! Ubereem walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hagler checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hagler tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ubereem scores with a punch to the head. A solid leg kick lands there for Ubereem.

Ubereem lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Hagler takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Hagler looks gassed! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hagler thows a leg kick but Ubereem checks it and Ubereem counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ubereem scores with a jab. Hagler acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

That has opened up Marvin Hagler's cut even more. Ubereem lands a big uppercut and Hagler crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hagler looks OK. Ubereem waves Hagler back to his feet! Hagler is still on wobbly legs! Can Ubereem finish him? Ubereem fakes the body blow, causing Hagler to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Hagler goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alistair Ubereem! Alistair Ubereem retains his middleweight title! A relieved looking Alistair Ubereem thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
