Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hayato Nakahara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeo Imanari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hayato Nakahara! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeo Imanari! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nakahara tries to close the distance and clinch up but Imanari swats him away and circles back towards the center. Imanari manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Nakahara on his heels. He'll look to pass Nakahara's guard now, I'm sure. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Imanari trying to control but Nakahara is working from the bottom. Imanari controls from within his opponent's guard.
Takeo Imanari has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Imanari shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nakahara as he avoids it easily. Imanari leaves Nakahara with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Nakahara tries to clinch but Imanari is having none of it. Nakahara shoots in looking for a takedown. Imanari tries to sprawl out of it but Nakahara keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Imanari manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Imanari has managed to clinch.

Imanari looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Imanari breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nakahara moves in looking to clinch but Imanari pushes him off. Nakahara dives in and grabs Imanari's left leg, looking for a takedown. Imanari pushes down on Nakahara's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hayato Nakahara. That's going to take a lot out of him. Some bone on bone action there as Imanari checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Nakahara moves into the clinch successfully.

Nakahara throws a leg kick but Imanari checks it. Nakahara fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nakahara connects with a single shot there. Nakahara feints a jab promting Imanari to slip. Nakahara then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Imanari slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Nakahara looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Imanari is fending him off so far but Nakahara persists. Nope, Imanari circles away and we're back to standing. Nakahara doesn't manage to clinch there - Imanari circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Imanari has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nakahara is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Imanari drops down looking for an ankle pick but Nakahara pulls his leg out and moves away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Imanari looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nakahara fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Imanari avoids it really well and circles away. Nakahara tries for a takedown but Imanari circles away easily and Imanari counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Nakahara is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Imanari tries to advance to mount but Nakahara denies him. Nakahara is pushing Imanari's head away, looking to escape. Imanari manages to hold on to the position though. Nakahara is not content to let Imanari control the position. Nakahara prevents Imanari from improving position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Imanari is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Nakahara has escaped the position, nice work there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Imanari tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Imanari taking a breather here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Takeo Imanari dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Imanari has a takedown stuffed. Nakahara scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Imanari has his hands clasped together around Nakahara's back. He's all about the action. Nakahara wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Imanari uses the opportunity to regain full guard. Nakahara wants to stand and escape but instead Imanari has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Nakahara working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Imanari stops Nakahara from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Imanari controls from within his opponent's guard. Imanari trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Imanari prevents Nakahara from getting back to his feet. Nakahara seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Imanari gets a clinch. Nakahara misses with an elbow over the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Imanari has Nakahara pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nakahara manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Nakahara is pressed up against the cage. Imanari has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Nakahara down to the mat. Nakahara avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Hayato Nakahara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takeo Imanari. Nakahara scores a takedown into full mount! Nakahara thowing shots but they're missing. Nakahara wants to control the pace but Imanari is squirming around nicely. Nakahara wants to stand but Imanari is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
This has been an exciting period of action! Nakahara can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Imanari is looking to escape. Imanari tries to hold on but Nakahara postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Imanari sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Imanari is not content to let Nakahara control the position. Nakahara takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Imanari manages to get to full guard.
Nakahara won't allow Imanari to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Imanari is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We're going to have a standup here because Hayato Nakahara wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Imanari feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Nakahara is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Nakahara pulls Imanari in close to his closed guard and prevents Imanari from doing any damage or advancing position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Imanari wants to pass the guard but Nakahara is keeping the position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hayato Nakahara will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Nakahara is looking to get to half guard. Nakahara is controlling an arm, preventing Imanari from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Let's hope that Imanari has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Nakahara keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Imanari tries to control but Nakahara wriggling away. Imanari might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nakahara kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Imanari is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Nakahara has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Nakahara! Nakahara pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Imanari is keeping the position for now. Nakahara is fighting to break Imanari's control of his arms but Imanari is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakahara has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Imanari is proving hard to escape from. Nakahara looking to sit in guard and control but Imanari gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Imanari thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Imanari's corner is telling him to maintain position. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Nakahara holds on and takes a little breather. Imanari trying to control the position from guard on top but Nakahara is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Imanari looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Imanari wants to control from the top but Nakahara keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Takeo Imanari was stalling too much, according to the referee. Imanari has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Nakahara tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hayato Nakahara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nakahara closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Imanari to the mat! Imanari manages to get full guard. Nakahara wants to get up but he can't break Imanari's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Nakahara trying to control but Imanari is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Takeo Imanari comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Imanari has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
