PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Cramer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Don Cramer has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don Cramer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Foster!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cramer closes the distance and clinches.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Foster drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cramer gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Cramer is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Foster keeps control of Cramer as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Foster pulls Cramer into guard.
Foster wants to hit a switch here but Cramer passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Foster there!
Foster regains half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Foster is looking for a sweep. Cramer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Foster trying to get back to full guard but Cramer takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Foster throwing hammer fists to the chest of Cramer. What's that going to do exactly?
Foster is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Foster tries to lock up and control but Cramer gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Foster really wants to buck Cramer off and get back to his feet.
Cramer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Foster is trying desperately to improve position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cramer can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Foster is looking to escape.
Foster is desperately trying to improve his position but Cramer has a good base and remains in mount.
Cramer manages to capitalize on a mistake by Foster to take his back!
Cramer struggling to keep hold of the position.
Foster trying to control the action but Cramer just sinks the hooks in.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cramer has the hooks in. Foster is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Cramer wants to control but Foster is keeping busy.
Foster is in bad spot here.
Cramer is trying to stick to Foster's back but Foster is turning into Cramer. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Cramer's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Foster.
Foster throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cramer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Cramer keeping moving, preventing Foster from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tony Foster dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Foster shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Cramer counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Don Cramer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Foster.

Cramer moves in looking to clinch but Foster pushes him off.
Foster is breathing heavily.
Cramer catches Foster with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Foster is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cramer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Cramer has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cramer trying to land knees to the body.
Foster misses with the head strike.
Foster blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Cramer is pressed up against the cage. Foster has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cramer down to the mat. Cramer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Foster shoots in for a takedown but Cramer shows good takedown defense.
Foster swats away the attempt to clinch by Cramer.
Don Cramer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Foster showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cramer.
Foster fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Cramer is looking to clinch.
Foster misses with a takedown

and Cramer counters with a crisp one two that drops Foster! Cramer thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Foster to his feet! Foster is in big trouble!


Foster is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cramer lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Foster up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Cramer from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Foster's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Don Cramer!
An out of breath and clearly excited Don Cramer thanked BioPharm Nutrition for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
