Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinny Mashdein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Anthony Taglia and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia throws a sloppy head kick and Mashdein moves out of range easily.

Mashdein is looking to clinch but Garcia is avoiding it.
Garcia throws a nice looking combination but Mashdein bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mashdein closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Mashdein is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Garcia is just riding it out for now. Mashdein eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mashdein seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Garcia does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Vinny Mashdein showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
