Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donal OSullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Doe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Donal OSullivan ! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doe tries to clinch there but OSullivan circles away.
Doe is looking to clinch. Doe shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches OSullivan napping and manages to drive through into side control! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. OSullivan is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Doe is controlling him well. OSullivan defending against the ground and pound. OSullivan prevents Doe from moving into mount. OSullivan wants to get back to his feet but Doe drags him back down. Doe tries to move to mount but OSullivan blocks the move with his legs. Doe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for OSullivan on the ground. Doe is looking to take a break and control but OSullivan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Doe creates some space and throws a big elbow, but OSullivan sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doe trying to control the action but OSullivan is working from the bottom. OSullivan wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Doe advances to full mount. OSullivan wants to try and get back to his feet. Doe throws a strike there. OSullivan manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doe is looking to take a break and control but OSullivan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. OSullivan wants to get back to his feet.
OSullivan looks gassed! Doe passes the guard and advances to mount! Doe can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as OSullivan is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Doe looking to ground and pound but OSullivan is blocking nicely. OSullivan is squirming around, avoiding Doe's attempts to control the action. Doe is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But OSullivan has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from OSullivan ! Doe trying to keep a closed guard but OSullivan is proving a slippery customer.
Doe working for submissions but it's allowed OSullivan to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. OSullivan postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Doe to stand up. OSullivan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Doe throws a hook to the side of OSullivan 's head but OSullivan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. OSullivan fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Doe tries to clinch but OSullivan moves out of range. OSullivan misses with a double jab
and Doe decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in OSullivan 's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Doe working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of OSullivan 's head. Doe tries to free his leg and advance position but OSullivan is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Doe dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
OSullivan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Doe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with OSullivan but OSullivan pushes him off and we're back to square one. OSullivan throws the kick towards the body but Doe avoids it. Doe pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Doe gets a clinch. OSullivan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Doe pulls his leg out and moves away.
OSullivan throws a push kick but Doe slaps the foot to one side. OSullivan is breathing heavily. OSullivan throws a series of punches but Doe avoids them all with ease. Horrible takedown by Doe or perhaps it was just good defense by OSullivan which made him look bad. OSullivan throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. OSullivan gets tackled into the cage by Doe. Doe maintains the clinch. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Doe. OSullivan gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Doe.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Doe. That's going to take a lot out of him. Doe lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Doe fails to pull guard.
Doe drops down looking for an ankle pick but OSullivan pulls his leg out and moves away.
OSullivan has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Doe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Doe throws a head kick but OSullivan moves out of range.
Doe tries for a takedown but OSullivan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Doe keeps the fight on the outside. Joe Doe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Doe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says OSullivan as he avoids it easily. OSullivan scores with a decent looking hook. OSullivan rushes Doe and presses him up against the cage. OSullivan tries a knee to the head but Doe blocks it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. OSullivan is looking for a takedown.

OSullivan moves into the clinch. OSullivan jumps into guard, dragging Doe to the mat.
OSullivan pushes Doe off and scrambles back to his feet.
Doe clinches up against the cage. OSullivan is trying to pull guard but Doe turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Doe tries for a takedown. No joy.

Doe tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Doe is trying to maintain a safe position but OSullivan gets an underhook and turns Doe into the cage. OSullivan drags the fight down to the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Doe looking to sit in guard and control but OSullivan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Doe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. OSullivan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Doe misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Donal OSullivan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Doe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Doe is trying to maintain a safe position but OSullivan gets an underhook and turns Doe into the cage. OSullivan will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Doe up against the cage. Doe breaks the clinch.
Doe connects with a high kick. Doe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good leg kick by Doe there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Donal OSullivan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. OSullivan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. OSullivan rushes Doe and presses him up against the cage. OSullivan changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Doe fights it off and pushes away nicely.
OSullivan pushes Doe up against the cage in a clinch. OSullivan gets underhooks to prevent Doe's takedown attempt.
Doe tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. OSullivan just stands there and leans against the cage. Doe is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Doe. That's going to take a lot out of him. Doe is looking to break free of the clinch but OSullivan has double underhooks. OSullivan is trying to break the clinch but Doe has him pressed against the cage. Doe is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables OSullivan to keep the fight standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doe breaks the clinch.
Doe shoots in for a takedown but OSullivan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from OSullivan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Doe has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Doe and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Doe moves into range and clinches up with OSullivan . Doe wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but OSullivan has him pressed against the cage. Doe tries for a takedown. No joy.
Doe blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! OSullivan tries to break the clinch but Doe is controlling the position. OSullivan has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Doe wants a takedown.
OSullivan pulls guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. OSullivan is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. OSullivan is trying to break the clinch but Doe is controlling him. OSullivan drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Doe with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Doe prevents OSullivan from getting back to his feet. Doe has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Doe wants to control from the top but OSullivan keeps moving. OSullivan wants to stand up but Doe is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doe postures up in OSullivan 's guard and throws a big left but OSullivan blocks it. OSullivan wants to stand but Doe is controlling the position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Doe trying to control but OSullivan is working from the bottom.
Joe Doe has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. OSullivan swats away the attempt to clinch by Doe. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. OSullivan circles away from the clinch attempt.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joe Doe. Well Doe has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
