And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Joaquin Bordado!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tutan slips a jab from Bordado.
Bordado pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Tutan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bordado was well out of range. Poor timing from Tutan.
Tutan shoots in for a takedown but Bordado shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bordado bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A punch lands to the side of Bordado 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Bordado scores with a jab to the body.
Tutan looks to land a left hand but Bordado moved out of range nicely.
Donk. Tutan catches Bordado right on the button with a cross.
Tutan shoots in but no luck this time.
Tutan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bordado sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tutan somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kapitan Tutan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bordado buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Tutan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bordado.
Tutan shoots in looking for a takedown. Bordado tries to sprawl out of it but Tutan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bordado manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bordado throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Bordado missing with a left hand there. Tutan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Bordado connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tutan. Tutan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Bordado is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bordado connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Kapitan Tutan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tutan.

Bordado takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Tutan misses with an uppercut.
Bordado tries to bum rush Tutan with a series of wild strikes but Tutan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tutan shoots in looking for a takedown but Bordado manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tutan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Tutan is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Bordado lunges at Tutan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Tutan's hand.

Tutan bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bordado's head backwards.

Bordado scores with a decent looking hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tutan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Tutan is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Tutan wants to advance to full mount but Bordado doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Tutan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bordado is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tutan is controlling him.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tutan works a leg free and moves into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tutan is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Tutan!
