The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bombinksi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Heymen sprawls well initially but Bombinksi persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Heymen is holding on to half guard well.
Bombinksi is trying to work for a kimura but Heymen is defending well.
Bombinksi trying to mount his opponent but Heymen defends it.
Bombinksi is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Heymen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bombinksi is working away from the top position though.

Bombinksi is looking for a kimura but Heymen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bombinksi to get the leverage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Heymen moves in looking to clinch but Bombinksi pushes him off.
Heymen gets caught flat footed, as Bombinksi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bombinksi trying to control but Heymen is working from the bottom.
Bombinksi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Heymen is keeping the position for now.
Bombinksi slips nicely into half guard.

Heymen tries to roll over but Bombinksi keeps him under control.
