Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Rice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boom comes to the cage accompanied by POD - Boom. Sam Rice is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Boom! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Rice! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boom tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rice paws at him with a jab and circles away. Boom shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rice manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rice holds on and takes a little breather. Boom in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Rice trying to control the position.
Boom has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Rice has his foot on Boom's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boom works his way back into a safe position though. Boom wants to control from the top but Rice keeps moving. Rice looking for a guillotine here but Boom defends easily.
Boom trying to control but Rice is working from the bottom. Boom wants to pass the guard but Rice is keeping the position. This has been an exciting period of action! Boom is working Rice over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Boom trying to control but Rice is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rice has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Boom can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rice working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Boom doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Boom manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Boom trying to control the position from guard on top but Rice is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boom trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Rice is looking to sinch up a triangle. Boom throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Rice's body to avoid the submission. Rice has instead reached around Boom's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Rice arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Sam Rice! Sam Rice decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
