Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Keygo Atobe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shun Whun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keygo Atobe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shun Whun!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Whun scores with a takedown into Atobe's guard.
Atobe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Atobe controlling Whun's posture.
Whun wants to control from the top but Atobe keeps moving.
Atobe can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Whun controls the pace.
Whun tries to free his leg and advance position but Atobe is retaining full guard.
Whun slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Shun Whun hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Whun looks to land a combination. Atobe sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


It looks like Keygo Atobe has been cut.
Whun throws a right and a left that both miss.
Atobe wants to clinch.
Atobe tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Whun paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Atobe darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Whun is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Whun regains full guard. Nicely done.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Atobe trying to control the position from guard on top but Whun is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Whun throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Atobe trying to control but Whun is working from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Whun is on top in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Atobe is trying to control the position but Whun postures up.
Whun stays in close to Atobe's body and controls the position.
Let's hope that Whun has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

We're going to have a standup here because Keygo Atobe wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Whun shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Whun wants to get up but he can't break Atobe's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Whun sitting in guard here, content to control.
Atobe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Shun Whun wasn't active enough on the ground.
Whun connects with an inside leg kick.
Shun Whun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Atobe bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sloppy strikes there by Atobe.
Whun can't do much from the bottom here.
Whun sneaks back into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Whun works his way to full guard. Good work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Atobe postures up.

Whun working for a triangle but Atobe defends it easily.
Whun has his hands on Atobe's head, controlling the position.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Shun Whun dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Keygo Atobe's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Whun closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Atobe is trying to improve his position.

Whun is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Atobe is trying to escape and Whun transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Atobe is forced to tap! Nice work there by Whun! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Shun Whun!
After winning the bout, Shun Whun thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
