Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mr Takedown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mr Takedown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mark John! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! John fails with the takedown and Takedown counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Takedown not landing any meaningful shots this time. Takedown throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. John regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Takedown. Takedown might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Takedown missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Takedown loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Takedown in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Takedown preventing the sweep. John is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Takedown throwing strikes but missing. John keeping full guard, as Takedown tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. John trying to keep a closed guard but Takedown is proving a slippery customer.
Takedown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. John swivels though and keeps the full guard. Takedown in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Takedown is looking to advance position but John has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! John throwing strikes here but Takedown is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Takedown holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as John tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
John tries to control but Takedown wriggling away. John with good strikes from the mount here! John is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Takedown has managed to escape the submission attempt.
John thowing shots but they're missing. Takedown is squirming around, avoiding John's attempts to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. John is landing with some decent strikes but Takedown is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Takedown holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as John tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Takedown on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Takedown tries to get out of the position. John throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Takedown is in a horrible position here. John smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
John misses with a head shot. John tries to control but Takedown wriggling away. John swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Takedown is now in John's guard. A big mistake from John there, giving up the dominant position! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Takedown trying to control the position from guard on top but John is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. John has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. John lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Takedown! John wants to finish this one by submission but Takedown is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from John. John trying to control but he's not successful this time. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Takedown blocking the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark John dominated that round. That's time! Takedown's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
John throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Takedown was covering up waiting for the punch and John finishes the takedown easily into guard. Takedown managing to control the position. John trying to control the position from guard on top but Takedown is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. John with a flurry of punches that miss. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. John working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as John accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. John trying to control the position from guard on top but Takedown is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

John loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as John accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Takedown avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. John postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. John stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Takedown swivels though and keeps the full guard. John wants to control from the top but Takedown keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. John passes Takedown's left leg - he's now in half guard. John wants to lay and pray for a moment but Takedown keeps working. John is working for a kimura but Takedown is defending it quite comfortably.
Takedown tries to get to full guard but John has control of the leg. John seems to be looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. John with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Takedown is trying to stand back up but John is controlling him
John is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. John is working for a kimura but Takedown is defending it quite comfortably.
John working over Takedown with some ground and pound. Takedown looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's four minutes gone in the round. John works his way into full mount! John unloads with some shots from mount but Takedown bucks and avoids them well.
John lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
John looking to control but Takedown is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. John controlling from the full mount. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. John looking to finish with strikes here!

Mark John showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
John shoots in for a takedown but Takedown shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. John closes this distance looking for a takedown but Takedown circles away. Takedown shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. John is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Takedown working the ground and pound effectively.
Takedown lands with some strikes. Takedown landing strikes from the mount and John is in trouble! This has been an exciting period of action! Takedown lands with some vicious ground and pound - can John hang on? John suckers Takedown into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! John is now in Takedown's guard!

John throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Takedown works some decent striking defense from the bottom. John is looking to work some ground and pound but Takedown has wrist control. Takedown wants to stand but John is controlling the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. John trying to control but Takedown is working from the bottom. Hammerfist, elbow! yells John's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's two minutes gone in the round. John has gone for a leg lock! Takedown slips out almost immediately though and dives into John's guard. Takedown scoring with some ground and pound. John keeping moving, preventing Takedown from controlling successfully. John wants to sweep but no luck. Takedown throws a strike but John rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Takedown utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. John throwing strikes but missing. Mark John has got the better of the ground game so far. John advances to half guard. John seems to be looking for submissions.
John passes to side control. John tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Takedown is trying to control John's posture but John avoids it. Takedown avoids any damage from the ground and pound of John. Mark John is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. John throws an elbow but Takedown slips to the side and avoids it well. John controlling from side mount. John is looking to take a break and control but Takedown is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. John tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mr Takedown. Well John has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
