PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between TJ Wash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and I Sue SamSung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I Sue SamSung struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, I Sue SamSung!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wash shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. SamSung defends it nicely.
SamSung throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wash tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but SamSung swivels and escapes.
Wash shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for TJ Wash. That's going to take a lot out of him.
SamSung misses with a body shot.
Wash fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

SamSung gets tackled into the cage by Wash. Wash maintains the clinch.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. I Sue SamSung hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Wash gets control of SamSung's arms and successfully pulls guard. Wash will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Wash really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Wash shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has SamSung pinned against the cage. SamSung gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Wash throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around SamSung's waist but SamSung gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wash off to one side.

That was a close second round but I would say that TJ Wash will probably get the nod.

SamSung takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Wash looking to break SamSung's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. SamSung remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Wash will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Wash is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but SamSung has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

What can SamSung do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Wash is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. SamSung knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften SamSung for a finish.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wash, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
