Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tomasz Kowalik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeya Akazumi!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akazumi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kowalik sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Akazumi somewhat.
Akazumi misses with a takedown attempt - Kowalik sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kowalik throws a head kick but Akazumi moves out of range.
Akazumi throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kowalik was covering up waiting for the punch and Akazumi finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Takeya Akazumi has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
A jab from Akazumi finds it's way through Kowalik's defenses.
Kowalik is breathing heavily.
Akazumi connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kowalik. Kowalik circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
A bone on bone clash there as Akazumi blocks the leg kick.
Kowalik misses with the body kick
and Akazumi counters with a shoot takedown. Kowalik fights it but they end up in guard.
Akazumi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Akazumi passes into half guard.
Akazumi is trying for a kimura here. Kowalik looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Akazumi wins by kimura!
