Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Rueda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Rueda is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Piotr Kowalski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Rueda! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kowalski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rueda's waist but Rueda gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kowalski off to one side. Rueda avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kowalski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kowalski tries to close the distance and clinch but Rueda swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kowalski closes the distance and clinches up with Rueda, looking for a takedown. Kowalski pushes Rueda against the cage but Rueda circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kowalski is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rueda sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Piotr Kowalski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice jab there from Rueda.
It looks like Piotr Kowalski has been cut. Rueda leaves Kowalski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kowalski moves into the clinch successfully.

Kowalski shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kowalski is breathing heavily. BOOM! Rueda lands a beautiful left hook that drops Kowalski. Kowalski tries to recover but Rueda is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Kowalski lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dan Rueda!
