Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hung mi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shiro Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

mi feints and as Nakamura raises his hands in defense, mi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
mi postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Nakamura is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

mi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. mi showed some decent athleticism there.
mi winds up and cracks Nakamura with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

mi is trying to work for a kimura but Nakamura is defending well.

mi prevents Nakamura from standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
mi wants to control but Nakamura is keeping him busy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Nakamura had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. mi is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Nakamura Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take mi's back instead.

mi wants to control his opponent's hands but Nakamura gets his hands free.

Nakamura might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control mi kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

mi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nakamura is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

mi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
mi tries to move to full mount but Nakamura actually manages to regain half guard.

Nakamura is not content to let mi control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hung mi dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

mi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

mi looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

mi takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
mi is keen to just control but Nakamura is a slippery customer.
Nakamura is breathing heavily.
mi is looking to advance position but Nakamura won't allow it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Nakamura tries to clinch but mi is having none of it.

and mi counters with a shoot takedown. Nakamura fights it but they end up in guard.

Nakamura has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but mi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hung mi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
mi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nakamura swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nakamura is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
mi postures up.
Nakamura is looking to stand up but mi isn't so interested in that idea.

mi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

mi is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Nakamura has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. mi is looking to defend but Nakamura has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for mi! Nakamura pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, mi taps out and this one is all over!
