Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tank Abott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freddy Li has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tank Abott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Freddy Li! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Li swinging wildly here.
Li swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Abott wants to clinch up but Li keeps it at a distance. Abott misses with the combination.
Tank Abott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Abott instigates a clinch. Abott has clasped his hands together around Li's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Abott stands up. Li closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Li working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Check out the look on Li's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Li takes a little break here. Abott wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Abott knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Li on the ground. Abott manages to work his way to half guard, despite Li's best efforts. Li tries to pass the half guard into mount. Abott knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Abott throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Li trying to control from half guard but Abott is working away. Li slips a nice elbow through Abott's hands, connecting with Abott's forehead. Li is controlling the pace.
Li moves nicely into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Li is looking to take a break and control but Abott is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Abott can't do much from the bottom here. Abott is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Li has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Abott! Li is in the full mount, landing strikes. Li has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Li lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Li working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Li with good strikes from the mount here! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Abott is squirming around, avoiding Li's attempts to control the action. Li lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Abott tries to reverse the position but Li maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Abott is working hard here to advance position. Li working away from the top, dropping strikes. Li working away from the top, dropping strikes. Li working away from the top, dropping strikes. Li postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Abott in real trouble here! The ref calls for Abott to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

A very excited looking Freddy Li made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
