Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Sproule (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabi Garz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Sproule! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fabi Garz! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sproule fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fabi Garz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sproule throws a right and a left that Garz avoids nicely. Garz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sproule lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Garz circles away quickly and effectively. Sproule throws a front kick aimed at Garz's knee but Garz avoids it well. Sproule closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sproule lands in his opponent's guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sproule's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Garz keeping moving, preventing Sproule from controlling successfully. Sproule slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Sproule's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Garz wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sproule passes easily into side control. Nice work. Sproule in side control lands a decent elbow. Garz is looking to reverse the position. Sproule trying to control the position but Garz is working away. Sproule connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Garz some visible discomfort.
Sproule throwing shots but missing, from side control. Sproule is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Garz's shoulder. That is not cool. Sproule has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sproule connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Garz some visible discomfort.
Garz is trying to get back to half guard. Garz wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garz is trying to work for a sweep but Sproule has mounted him! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sproule pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sproule connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

It looks like Fabi Garz has been cut. Garz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sproule. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Garz in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Sproule content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sproule breaks from Garz's wrist control and lands an elbow. Garz is bucking up trying to escape but Sproule cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That has opened up Fabi Garz's cut even more. Sproule with a couple of short strikes.
The cut above Fabi Garz's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Sproule content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sproule has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Garz's face.
Fabi Garz's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Fabi Garz's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). James Sproule! James Sproule really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Snap Crackle Pop Fight Gear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
