And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ivan Diprivan!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diprivan keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Cabrillo looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Cabrillo drives through with a takedown into Diprivan's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Cabrillo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Diprivan's head.
Cabrillo tries to free his leg and advance position but Diprivan is retaining full guard.

Cabrillo is working for a kimura here but Diprivan manages to reverse the position and he's now in Cabrillo's guard.

Cabrillo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Diprivan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Diprivan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cabrillo looking for a guillotine here but Diprivan defends easily.

Diprivan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cabrillo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cabrillo is looking for a triangle but Diprivan pushes his legs off easily.

Cabrillo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Diprivan wants to stand but Cabrillo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Diprivan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cabrillo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Diprivan has managed to get both his arms back between Cabrillo's legs - danger averted.
Diprivan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Cabrillo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Diprivan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cabrillo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Diprivan!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cabrillo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The referee warns Diprivan that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Cabrillo! Diprivan is hurt baaadly! Cabrillo is firing away with more strikes - Diprivan is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
