The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matei cracks a nice hook into Geerts's ribs.
Geerts throws a lazy uppercut
and Matei counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Geerts breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Geerts is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Matei throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Geerts because Matei loaded up on that one.
Matei loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Geerts scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Matei land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Matei stands and salutes the crowd.
