Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Leastly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Wilcox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leastly kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Walk-Pantera. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Eddie Farnsworth and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilcox gets the takedown into side control.
Leastly manages to work his way to half guard, despite Wilcox's best efforts.
Leastly trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Leastly prevents Wilcox from taking his back.
Leastly is trying desperately to improve position.
Leastly wants to hold on but Wilcox pushes him away.
Wilcox controlling the position easily from mount.
Leastly keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Wilcox has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Leastly's face.
Leastly is looking to improve his position but Wilcox isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
BOOM! Wilcox connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Wilcox postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Leastly looks a forlorn figure.
Leastly tries to hold on but Wilcox pushes him away.
Leastly is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Wilcox is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Leastly manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Leastly is looking to control Wilcox's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Leastly avoid being mounted?
Leastly makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Leastly shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Wilcox counters with a takedown into side control.
Leastly is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Wilcox tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wilcox has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Leastly is looking for a sweep.

Leastly regains half guard there - taking advantage of Wilcox's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Leastly looks like he's trying to stand up.
Leastly trying to get back to full guard but Wilcox takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Wilcox looking to control and managing it successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Leastly closes the distance but Wilcox moves to the side
and Wilcox moves into the clinch.
Leastly is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Leastly manages to pull guard.
Wilcox controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Leastly wants to get back to his feet but Wilcox is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Leastly can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wilcox controls the pace.

Leastly striking off his back but it's not causing Wilcox any problems.

Wilcox is pushing down on Leastly's leg trying to pass to half guard. Leastly is fighting to maintain full guard but Wilcox has managed to sneak the leg through.

Wilcox uses his free foot to push down on Leastly's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Leastly.

Wilcox misses with a takedown attempt - Leastly sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Leastly forces Wilcox back against the cage and clinches.
Wilcox has Leastly pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Leastly manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Leastly breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Leastly throws a nice head kick!
Wilcox gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Leastly drops down looking for an ankle pick but Wilcox pulls his leg out and moves away.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Leastly.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Leastly stands up.
Wilcox closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Mark Wilcox has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wilcox decides to stand and escape the position.
Wilcox avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wilcox circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wilcox shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Leastly throwing hammer fists to the chest of Wilcox. What's that going to do exactly?

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

so Wilcox counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wilcox stands and steps away. Leastly gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Leastly darts in and clinches Wilcox up against the cage.

Leastly has gone for a leg lock! Wilcox slips out almost immediately though and dives into Leastly's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
