Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Benny Bigsby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Battery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Benny Bigsby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Maximus Battery!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Battery or perhaps it was just good defense by Bigsby which made him look bad.
Battery shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bigsby as he jumps to the side.
Bigsby wants to clinch.
Bigsby clinches.
Battery has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bigsby avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Benny Bigsby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maximus Battery.
Battery tightens his grip and picks Bigsby up, before dumping him to the ground. Bigsby manages to land in guard.
Battery stopping the sweep attempt from Bigsby.
Battery drops back looking for a leg! Bigsby is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bigsby manages to kick Battery off! Battery jumps back into Bigsby's guard.
Bigsby looking to hit a scissor sweep but Battery is one step ahead there.

Bigsby is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bigsby keeping full guard, as Battery tries to pass.
Bigsby on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bigsby tries to get out of the position.
Bigsby pulls Battery in close to prevent any damage.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bigsby shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bigsby showed some decent athleticism there.
Battery won't allow Bigsby to pass to mount.
Bigsby drops an elbow to the side of Battery's head.
Bigsby wants to take a breather but Battery is having none of it.
Battery is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Bigsby pulls his head out easily.
Battery regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bigsby pushing down on Battery's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Ground and pound from Bigsby.
Bigsby tries to pass the half guard into mount. Battery knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Battery moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Bigsby is breathing heavily.
Battery pushes a forearm under Bigsby's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Bigsby is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Maximus Battery!
