Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rikki Samu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akio Daisuke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samu has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rikki Samu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akio Daisuke!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samu moves in looking to clinch but Daisuke pushes him off.
Daisuke shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Samu scores with a takedown into Daisuke's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Daisuke looking for a guillotine here but Samu defends easily.
Samu is breathing heavily.
Daisuke manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Samu manages to get himself to full guard.
Samu could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Daisuke trying to control but Samu is working from the bottom.
Daisuke is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Daisuke wants to control from the top but Samu keeps moving.
Samu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Daisuke on the ground.
Daisuke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Samu swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Daisuke is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Daisuke slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Daisuke advances to full mount.

Daisuke takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Daisuke quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Daisuke but it's paid off an Samu is forced to tap! Nice work by Daisuke.
