Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Willie Leak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alan Mael!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leak checks the leg kick nicely there.
Leak keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Mael swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Leak forces Mael back against the cage and clinches.
Leak breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Some wild striking there from Leak.
Mael shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Leak's guard.
Leak will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mael pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Leak is keeping the position for now.
Mael trying to control but Leak is working from the bottom.

Leak knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mael on the ground.
Mael content to stall in guard here.
Mael stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Leak swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mael stopping the sweep attempt from Leak.
Mael advances to half guard.
Leak has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mael is working away from the top position though.
Mael is pressing down on Leak's thigh, looking to free his foot. Leak is holding on for now.
Mael seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Leak does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Leak looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mael is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Leak wants to get back to his feet.
Mael uses his free foot to push down on Leak's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Leak.
Leak prevents Mael from taking his back.
Leak is squirming around, avoiding Mael's attempts to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Leak throws a strike but has given up his back in the process.
Mael has managed to slip his arm under Leak's chin. This could be all over... yep, Leak is tapping out! Submission win for Mael.
