Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Doc Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Sinatra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas comes to the cage accompanied by Lunatic Fringe by Red Ryder. Doc Thomas had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Doc Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 10 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Sinatra!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sinatra swings widly with a right hand
enabling Thomas to counter with a crisp jab.


It looks like Frank Sinatra has been cut.
A slow jab from Thomas misses its intended target.
Thomas shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Thomas.
Thomas walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Thomas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sinatra moves away.

Thomas feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sinatras jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Thomas fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sinatra looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Thomas takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Thomas throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Thomas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Doc Thomas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sinatra moves away from the strike by Thomas.
Thomas ducks right into an uppercut from Sinatra.

Thomas throws a body punch but Sinatra moves out of range.
Thomas jabbing away but nothing is landing.
The crowd cheers as Sinatra lands an impressive looking overhand right. Thomas doesn't seem phased though.
Sinatra throws the left hand but Thomas avoids the punch easily.
Sinatra keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Thomas scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

enabling Thomas to counter with a crisp jab.
Sinatra looks to land a left hand but Thomas moved out of range nicely.
Sinatra throws a lazy right hand but Thomas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Thomas fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Thomas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Thomas missing with a left hand there. Sinatra was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Sinatra tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Thomas swivels and escapes.
Sinatra throws a predictable looking body shot
and Thomas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Thomas takes a swing at Sinatra's ribcage but misses.
Thomas tests Sinatra's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Thomas sizes up Sinatra with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Thomas throws a solid leg kick but Sinatra takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Thomas.

Thomas's jab looks to have found its range, popping Sinatra under the eye.
Sinatra has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sinatra there as he acknowledges the shot.

Sinatra darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Sinatra wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thomas keeps working.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Thomas is trying to control but can't.

Thomas wants to control but Sinatra is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thomas gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sinatra to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Sinatra shoots in for a double leg but Thomas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Doc Thomas is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Sinatra is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Sinatra is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Thomas is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sinatra is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

I would just about give that final round to Frank Sinatra.
