Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Walter Hissink (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conrado Guerra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conrado Guerra is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walter Hissink!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Conrado Guerra!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hissink swings for the body but Guerra moves out of range.
Hissink throws a nice outside leg kick.
Guerra jabs at Hissink's body.
Guerra darts in trying to clinch
and Hissink counters with a one-two to the body.
Hissink keeps the fight on the outside.
Hissink misses with a right hand

and Guerra counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hissink won't be happy with that.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Hissink is holding Guerra down, trying to stall.
Hissink is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Guerra throws a strike aimed at the side of Hissink's head but Hissink avoids it well.

Hissink is not content to let Guerra control the position.
Hissink is pushing Guerra's head away, looking to escape. Guerra manages to hold on to the position though.
Guerra wants to control for a moment but Hissink uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Guerra wants to take a breather but Hissink is having none of it.

Guerra controlling the pace.
Guerra wants to control but Hissink is keeping him busy.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Conrado Guerra hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Hissink is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Guerra.
Guerra tries to clinch but Hissink moves out of range.
Guerra tries to clinch up but Hissink circles away and keeps his distance.
Guerra is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Guerra wants to clinch.
Guerra on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Hissink lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Hissink misses with a double jab

and Guerra counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
A frustrated look appears on Hissink's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Guerra drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hissink pulls his leg out and moves away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Guerra looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hissink has closed the distance and engaged Guerra in a clinch.
Hissink tries to land knees in the clinch but Guerra avoids the damage to the body.
Hissink lands a hook that snaps the head of Guerra backwards.

Guerra lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Guerra is working for a kimura but Hissink is defending it quite comfortably.
Guerra seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hissink does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hissink is looking to escape.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Guerra stalling.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hissink is refusing to be controlled, as Guerra sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Conrado Guerra will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Guerra slips a jab and a cross from Hissink.
Guerra fails with a takedown attempt.
Guerra takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
The fighters circle momentarily. Hissink darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Guerra takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Some wild striking there from Hissink.
Guerra slips a jab and a cross from Hissink.
Guerra avoids the body shot from Hissink.

Guerra closes the distance and clinches.
Guerra is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hissink pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Hissink wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Hissink managing to block the knees to the body from Guerra.
Hissink looking to slow down the pace here.

Hissink breaks the clinch.
Hissink misses with a head kick.

Hissink has Guerra up against the cage in a clinch.
Hissink tries to break free but Guerra pushes him back against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Hissink.
Guerra is looking for a takedown.
Walter Hissink has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Conrado Guerra.

Hissink throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nice takedown defense from Hissink. No joy for Guerra on that attempt.
Guerra walks into a jab.
Guerra wants to clinch up but Hissink keeps it at a distance.

Sloppy strikes from Hissink. Those never looked like landing.

Guerra dives in and grabs Hissink's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hissink pushes down on Guerra's head and hops out.
Guerra misses with a takedown attempt - Hissink sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Guerra throws a nice looking combination but Hissink bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A jab from Hissink finds it's way through Guerra's defenses.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Guerra is defended easily by Hissink.

Guerra is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hissink has escaped the position, nice work there.

Hissink tries to bench press Guerra off him but Guerra keeps the position.
Hissink is not content to let Guerra control the position.
Hissink can't do much from the bottom here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hissink wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Guerra wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hissink keeps working.

Guerra decides to stand back up.
The crowd cheers as Hissink lands an impressive looking overhand right. Guerra doesn't seem phased though.

Guerra moves out of range of the body kick.
Hissink connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Hissink throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hissink throws a sloppy head kick

and Guerra counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Guerra tries to free his leg and advance position but Hissink is retaining full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

We're going to have a standup here because Walter Hissink wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Hissink lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Hissink tries to clinch but Guerra moves out of range.
Hissink swings for the body but Guerra moves out of range.
Guerra uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hissink.
Hissink misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A lazy body kick from Hissink

and Guerra counters with a head kick that drops Hissink!
Hissink trying to keep a closed guard but Guerra is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guerra trying to control the position from guard on top but Hissink is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

And that's the end of the fight!
Conrado Guerra comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Guerra has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Conrado Guerra was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
