Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlo Greco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicolas De Ertu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlo Greco has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Ertu is looking to clinch.
De Ertu tries to bum rush Greco with a series of wild strikes but Greco uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
De Ertu tries for a takedown but Greco sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
De Ertu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Greco was well out of range. Poor timing from De Ertu.
Greco displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from De Ertu.
De Ertu fails to land the takedown.
Carlo Greco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicolas De Ertu.
De Ertu stuffs the takedown attempt from Greco. Greco gets slowly back to his feet.
De Ertu keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts De Ertu, as that shot connected.

Greco shoots for a double leg takedown but De Ertu sprawls well. He's pushed Greco's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and De Ertu makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
De Ertu dives in and grabs Greco's left leg, looking for a takedown. Greco pushes down on De Ertu's head and hops out.

De Ertu rushes Greco and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Greco has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by De Ertu after a bit of a struggle.

De Ertu successfully pulls guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
De Ertu is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
De Ertu wants to stand but Greco is controlling the position.
Greco pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. De Ertu is keeping the position for now.
Greco knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for De Ertu on the ground.

De Ertu drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Greco is pushing De Ertu's head away, looking to escape. De Ertu manages to hold on to the position though.

Greco wants to get back to his feet but De Ertu is dominant here and he's now got Greco's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oooh a big shot gets through from De Ertu. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

A less than humble Nicolas De Ertu misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
