Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Palito Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zack Dio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dio has chosen Megadeth - Dialectic Chaos as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dio throws a nice looking combination but Gomez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gomez dips to his left and cracks Dio with an uppercut!
Dio throws a right hand that Gomez ducks under and follows up with a left that Gomez also avoids with ease.
Dio steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gomez.
Gomez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dio.
Dio avoids the head kick by Gomez.
Gomez throws a head kick that misses.
Gomez throws a body punch but Dio moves out of range.
Dio lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Gomez looks to throw the jab but Dio is out of range.
Dio throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dio is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Gomez throws a sloppy head kick and Dio moves out of range easily.

Dio is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Dio drops Gomez onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Gomez is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Oh Gomez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dio pushes Gomez against the cage. Dio is working some dirty boxing. Dio pushes off with a quick right hook! Gomez goes down! Gomez tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Dio moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Our winner, Zack Dio, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
