Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Arwind Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Dunn! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Santos wants to clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Santos looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Santos is looking to clinch but Dunn is avoiding it.
Dunn fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Santos tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dunn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Santos dodges the punch combination from Dunn.
Dunn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Santos circles away quickly and effectively. Dunn misses with a series of wild punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Santos ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Santos slips under a jab. Dunn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Santos takes a shot right to the bread basket. Santos is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Dunn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Santos sprawls well. Santos wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dunn gets slowly back to his feet. Arwind Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Dunn. Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dunn swats him away and circles back towards the center. Dunn keeps the fight on the outside. Dunn shoots in and gets a takedown into Santos's guard. Dunn trying to move into half guard but instead Santos has managed to sweep! Santos preventing the sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Santos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dunn looking to control.
Santos is in close to Dunn's body, working some short punches and elbows. Dunn looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Santos drops back looking for a leg! Dunn is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dunn manages to kick Santos off! Santos jumps back into Dunn's guard. Dunn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Santos thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Santos trying to control the position from guard on top but Dunn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Dunn wants to sweep here but Santos controlling him for the moment. Santos wants to control from the top but Dunn keeps moving. Dunn looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dunn avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Dunn keeping moving, preventing Santos from controlling successfully. Dunn is looking for a triangle here but Santos uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Santos wants to take a breather but Dunn manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Santos. Dunn looking for a sweep. Not yet Dunn, not yet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Santos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Santos trying to control the position from guard on top but Dunn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but John Dunn will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Dunn thuds his right hand into Santos's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Santos feints and then cracks Dunn's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dunn down. Santos dodges the punch combination from Dunn.
Arwind Santos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Santos tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Dunn counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A punch combination from Dunn misses. Nice takedown defense from Dunn. No joy for Santos on that attempt. Santos tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Dunn throws a hook but Santos blocks it. John Dunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dunn has a takedown stuffed. Santos doesn't manage to clinch there - Dunn circles away.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Santos throws an elbow but Dunn slips to the side and avoids it well. Santos working away. Dunn is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Santos is staying active. Dunn is looking for a sweep. Santos working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Santos trying to control the position but Dunn is working away. Dunn manages to work his way to half guard, despite Santos's best efforts. Dunn is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Santos not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Arwind Santos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dunn wants to control but Santos is keeping busy.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Santos trying to control but he's not successful this time. Santos scoring with strikes but Dunn is staying in there. Dunn tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dunn tries to hold on but Santos pushes him away. Dunn slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Dunn wants to get back to full guard. Santos throwing shots but Dunn is blocking nicely. Santos tries to pass to full mount but Dunn defends it. Santos wants to take a breather but Dunn is having none of it. Santos blocks the strikes from Dunn.
Dunn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Santos thows a huge punch but Dunn dodges it nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dunn is doing well to control the position and prevent Santos from advancing to side control. Dunn tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Santos has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Santos prevents Dunn from getting the reversal. Dunn wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Santos.
Dunn blocking the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dunn is in all sorts of trouble here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Arwind Santos will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Dunn throws a nice looking combination but Santos bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Santos is looking to clinch but Dunn is avoiding it.

Dunn keeps the fight on the outside. Dunn looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Santos is fending him off so far but Dunn persists. Nope, Santos circles away and we're back to standing. Santos shoots in but Dunn avoids the takedown attempt easily. Dunn is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Dunn rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Santos counters by clinching up. Santos trying to land knees to the body.
Dunn has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Dunn wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Santos has him pressed against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dunn misses with a punch on the inside.
Dunn lands with a right to the head. Santos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Santos throws a right hand that Dunn ducks under and follows up with a left that Dunn also avoids with ease. John Dunn seems to be getting the better of the standup. Dunn misses with a two punch combination.
Santos shoots and misses and Dunn counters with a straight right hand. Santos is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Dunn scores with a jab. Santos acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Dunn takes a swing at Santos's ribcage but misses. Dunn cracks a nice hook into Santos's ribs. Dunn scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Santos is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos wants to control but Dunn is keeping busy and won't allow it. Dunn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Santos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dunn is trying to control the action in half guard but Santos is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Dunn scores with a couple of good hammerfists. This has been an exciting period of action! Dunn throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Dunn landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Santos is looking for a sweep. Dunn is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Dunn working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Dunn passes to full mount!
And that's the end of the fight! John Dunn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Dunn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by majority decision... John Dunn! John Dunn decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
