PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ed Gein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jackson's choice of entrance music: Lovely Day - Bill Withers. Mason Jackson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ed Gein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mason Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gein plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Gein sizes up Jackson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jackson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Jackson slips a jab from Gein.
Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gein moves away.
Jackson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gein.
Gein lands the left hand.

Jackson is rocked!
Jackson just misses with a punch to the body.
Gein takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Jackson is still on wobbly legs! Can Gein finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gein thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Jackson if he has to take too many more of those.
Jackson slips a jab from Gein.
Gein misses with a lunging right hand
and Jackson counters with a nice body shot.
Jackson leaves his chin hanging out and Gein seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Jackson crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
