Schwarzenbergersteiner has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Paul Prichard has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paul Prichard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johan Schwarzenbergersteiner! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Prichard scores with a takedown into Schwarzenbergersteiner's guard. Schwarzenbergersteiner looks gassed! Prichard postures up in Schwarzenbergersteiner's guard and throws a big left but Schwarzenbergersteiner blocks it. Prichard has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Prichard sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Schwarzenbergersteiner's guard. Prichard scoring with strikes to the body and head. Prichard looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Schwarzenbergersteiner with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Prichard lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Schwarzenbergersteiner is rocked! Schwarzenbergersteiner wants to get back to full guard but Prichard has passed into side control. Schwarzenbergersteiner is still in real trouble! Can Prichard finish him? Schwarzenbergersteiner should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Schwarzenbergersteiner is bucking up trying to escape but Prichard cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Schwarzenbergersteiner in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Prichard in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prichard postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Schwarzenbergersteiner badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Prichard around the waist but Prichard pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Prichard is the winner by TKO! Prichard jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Prichard!
