Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Eric Mac!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Maxwell Hickman!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hickman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hickman lands in his opponent's guard.
Hickman wants to pass the guard but Mac is keeping the position.
Hickman stays in close to Mac's body and controls the position.
Hickman throwing strikes from guard but Mac blocks nicely.

Maxwell Hickman has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Mac cracks Hickman with a good jab.

It looks like Maxwell Hickman has been cut.
Eric Mac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hickman walks forward, straight into a front kick from Mac.
Mac tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hickman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A thudding body kick lands there by Mac!
Eric Mac is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A nice inside leg kick there by Mac. That's going to slow Hickman down.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice uppercut lands for Mac. That snapped Hickman's head back.
A telegraphed right hand from Hickman misses the target.
Mac cracks the inside of Hickman's front leg.
Hickman looks to land a body kick but Mac moved away.

Hickman feints and as Mac raises his hands in defense, Hickman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mac not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mac knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hickman on the ground.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hickman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hickman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hickman forces his way into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hickman not doing much here.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Maxwell Hickman wasn't active enough on the ground.
Mac tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hickman swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hickman is looking to chop away at Mac's legs.
Mac avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mac throws a head kick but Hickman moves out of range.

Hickman drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hickman forces his way into half guard.
Hickman thows a huge punch but Mac dodges it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mac blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hickman.
Hickman content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Hickman should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hickman is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Mac is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
