The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pereira but Pereira pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Polko throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Pereira gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Pereira escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Polko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Polko wants it to stay on the feet.
