Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mex Ico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Hungus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hungus has chosen Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Karl Hungus told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mex Ico!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Karl Hungus!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ico misses with a head kick.
Hungus throws a nice looking combination but Ico bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ico tries to clinch there but Hungus circles away.
Ico lands with a nice body punch.
Ico misses with a looping left.
Hungus scores with a shot to the body.
Hungus throws a right and a left that Ico avoids nicely.
Hungus manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ico on his heels. He'll look to pass Ico's guard now, I'm sure.
Ico scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Karl Hungus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hungus avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ico connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
It looks like Karl Hungus has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ico just misses with a punch to the body.
Ico tries to clinch there but Hungus circles away.
Hungus thows a body shot but no joy.
Hungus misses with a few strikes there.
Hungus throws a right and a left that Ico avoids nicely.
Ico fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hungus has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hungus looks gassed!
A chopping leg kick lands by Ico.
Ico dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ico throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Ico tries to clinch up.
Ico moves in looking to clinch but Hungus pushes him off.
Ico throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hungus on the side of the head.
Ico ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ico catches Hungus with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ico lands with a nice body kick.
Ico cracks a nice hook into Hungus's ribs.
Ico digs a good body shot into Hungus's ribs.
Ico is looking to wear down Hungus with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Hungus avoids the body shot from Ico.
Ico moves into range and clinches up with Hungus.
Still in the clinch, Ico scores with a nice short uppercut.
Ico fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Ico throws a head punch that misses.
Nice body punch from Ico.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ico taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Ico lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Hungus drags the fight down to the ground.
Hungus working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Ico has passed into half guard!
Ico is taking a breather. Hungus says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Ico has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Hungus manages to get to full guard.
Ico seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hungus is looking to stand up but Ico isn't so interested in that idea.
Ico wants to pass the guard but Hungus is keeping the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Mex Ico just wasn't active enough.
Ico lands a brutal head kick. Hungus looks out on his feet and Ico throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Mex Ico!
