Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Antonio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Babuino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Antonio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sergio Babuino! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Babuino tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Antonio paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nice takedown defense from Babuino. No joy for Antonio on that attempt. Antonio fails with the takedown. Babuino tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Babuino tries to clinch but Antonio is having none of it. Babuino tries to clinch there but Antonio circles away.
Antonio looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Babuino keeping full guard, as Antonio tries to pass. Antonio slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Babuino takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's one minute gone in the round. Antonio passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Babuino! Antonio working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Antonio lands with some strikes. Antonio lands a big elbow. Antonio looking to ground and pound but Babuino is blocking nicely. Babuino really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Antonio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Babuino is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Babuino is bucking up trying to escape but Antonio cracks him with another couple of good strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Antonio has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Babuino's face.
Babuino in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Antonio has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Antonio misses with a head shot. Antonio has hold of Babuino's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Babuino manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Antonio has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Babuino's face.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Antonio wants to control the pace but Babuino is squirming around nicely. Antonio scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Babuino?

Babuino is rocked! Antonio misses with a head shot. Babuino is still in real trouble! Can Antonio finish him? We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Babuino can do anything to dispel that myth. Antonio looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Babuino seems to have recovered his senses. Antonio lands a nice shot to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Antonio putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Antonio throws some wild stikes that Babuino manages to avoid easily.
Antonio looking to isolate an arm here. Babuino doesn't see it coming and as Antonio extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Antonio!
