Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Omar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gram Prodigy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bryan Omar could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gram Prodigy's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bryan Omar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gram Prodigy! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Prodigy turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! Omar tries to clinch up. Prodigy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Prodigy lands in his opponent's guard. Prodigy stands and throws Omar's legs to the side, diving into side control. Omar can't do much from the bottom here. Prodigy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Prodigy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Omar is trying to control Prodigy's posture but Prodigy avoids it. Prodigy decides to stand up, so the ref orders Omar to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prodigy throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Omar tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Prodigy is in Omar's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Prodigy avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Prodigy is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Omar controls Prodigy momentarily but Prodigy frees himself.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Prodigy closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Omar's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Prodigy sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Omar's guard. Prodigy seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Omar regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prodigy controlling from the top position. Omar keeping moving, preventing Prodigy from controlling successfully. Omar trying to control the position.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Gram Prodigy wasn't active enough on the ground. Prodigy lands a head kick!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Omar connects with a leg kick. Prodigy looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Prodigy moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Omar misses with a takedown attempt and Prodigy counters with a head kick. That will keep Omar thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Omar swings and misses with a shot to the body and Prodigy counters with a head kick. Omar fails with a takedown attempt. Prodigy shoots in and gets a takedown into Omar's guard. Omar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Prodigy manages to get himself to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Omar striking off his back but it's not causing Prodigy any problems. Omar is working an open guard so Prodigy takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Omar tries to clinch but Prodigy moves away and Prodigy counters with a shoot takedown. Omar fights it but they end up in guard. Prodigy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Prodigy wants to control from the top but Omar keeps moving. Prodigy pushing down on Omar's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Prodigy tries to pass the half guard into mount. Omar knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Prodigy is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Omar reverses the position - he's now on top in Prodigy's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Omar wants to get up but he can't break Prodigy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Gram Prodigy. Omar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Omar gets caught flat footed, as Prodigy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Omar is trying to control the position but Prodigy postures up. Prodigy trying to control but Omar is working from the bottom. Omar looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Prodigy stands and steps away. Omar gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Omar dives in and grabs Prodigy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Prodigy pushes down on Omar's head and hops out. Omar throws a sloppy head kick and Prodigy counters with a good low kick that Omar was not able to check. Omar tries to clinch up but Prodigy circles away and keeps his distance. Omar misses with a takedown and Prodigy counters with a nice double leg into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryan Omar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Prodigy trying to control from half guard but Omar is working away. Omar wants to control but Prodigy is keeping busy and won't allow it. Prodigy passes to full mount! Prodigy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Omar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Prodigy stands up from mount. Strange move.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Prodigy digs a good body shot into Omar's ribs. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Prodigy scores a takedown into full mount! Omar tries to hold on but Prodigy postures up. Prodigy working for a guillotine from mount but Omar is in no mood to give up. Prodigy looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Prodigy stands up from mount. Strange move. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gram Prodigy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Bryan Omar's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Prodigy bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Prodigy tries to move into full mount but can't pass Omar's legs. Prodigy is looking for a kimura but Omar is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Prodigy to get the leverage. Prodigy is looking to stall here but Omar recovers full guard. Omar keeping full guard, as Prodigy tries to pass. Prodigy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Prodigy looking to control but instead Omar has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Omar tries to roll over but Prodigy keeps him under control. Omar is pressing down on Prodigy's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Prodigy looking to sit in guard and control but Omar gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Gram Prodigy has got the better of the ground game so far. Prodigy wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Omar is now in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Gram Prodigy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Prodigy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
