The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hearns with a nice cross.
Penn Jr lands with a thumping leg kick.
Hearns misses with a two punch combination.
Penn Jr tries a head kick but it misses.
Hearns takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Penn Jr walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hearns checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Penn Jr swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Penn Jr attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Penn Jr throws a head kick that Hearns semi-blocks.
Hearns works Penn Jr's body with a nice hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

enabling Hearns to counter with a crisp jab.
A clash of legs there as Hearns blocks the low kick.
Penn Jr tries a low kick but Hearns avoids it.
Penn Jr lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hearns's sensitive parts.
Tommy Hearns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hearns lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Some bone on bone action there as Hearns checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Hearns finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Hearns keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Penn Jr is still on wobbly legs! Can Hearns finish him?
BOOM! Hearns lands a beautiful left hook that drops Penn Jr. Penn Jr tries to recover but Hearns is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Penn Jr lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
