Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paublo Marinez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bartek Parter!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parter shoots in and gets a takedown into Marinez's guard.

Marinez is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Marinez looking for a sweep. Not yet Marinez, not yet.
Parter throws an elbow that misses. Marinez uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Parter's guard. Nice move by Marinez!

Parter wants to stand up but Marinez is controlling him.
Marinez trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Marinez blocks a head kick by Parter.

Parter looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Marinez pushes Parter off looking to stand but Parter dives back in and keeps control.

Parter scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Parter connects with a nice short shot to Marinez's temple.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Parter thows a huge punch but Marinez dodges it nicely.
Parter throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Parter wants to take a breather but Marinez is having none of it.

Parter is nestled in close to Marinez, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Marinez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Parter wants to control from the top but Marinez keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Parter is just content to waste time from the top position. Marinez takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Parter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marinez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Marinez is really struggling to control Parter but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Marinez wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Parter is now in half guard.
Marinez is in trouble now - Parter has advanced to mount!
Marinez tries to reverse the position but Parter maintains control.

Parter looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Marinez is in a horrible position here. Parter smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Marinez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Parter on the ground.

Marinez is trying desperately to improve position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Marinez tries to lock up and control but Parter gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Parter looking for a guillotine from mount but Marinez is having none of it.

Parter is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Marinez is surviving well by controlling Parter's body position as best he can.

Marinez bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Bartek Parter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Marinez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Parter tries to avoid it but Marinez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Parter to the ground. Parter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Parter.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Parter tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Parter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Marinez takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

A lull in the action here as Parter stalls from top position.

Parter is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Marinez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Parter in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Parter creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Parter looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Marinez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Parter wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Marinez is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Parter asserts his dominance and retains side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Marinez is looking to regain half guard here but Parter keeps moving and retains side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bartek Parter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Parter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
