Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kearney McGarrity (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh G Rection (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGarrity comes to the cage accompanied by Payback-Slayer. Rection has chosen Symphony of Destruction by Megadeth as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rection throws a shot from downtown. McGarrity moves away and avoids it.
McGarrity throws a head kick but Rection moves out of range.
Rection throws a leg kick which misses McGarrity's front leg but catches the back leg as McGarrity tries to avoid it.
Rection ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
An inside leg kick lands from McGarrity.
McGarrity throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Hugh G Rection has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rection lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McGarrity shoots in for a takedown but Rection shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Rection.
McGarrity shoots in and gets a takedown into Rection's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Rection looking to hit a scissor sweep but McGarrity is one step ahead there.
Rection seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Rection is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
McGarrity tries to hold on but Rection postures up.

McGarrity swings widly with a right hand
and Rection makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
McGarrity tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McGarrity moves away from the strike by Rection.
McGarrity takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rection throws a half hearted mid kick.
Rection swings for the body but McGarrity moves out of range.
An inside leg kick lands from Rection.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Rection. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
McGarrity throws a lazy right hand but Rection sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
McGarrity takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Rection swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Rection tries to land a front kick but McGarrity steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Rection scores with a punch to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A slow jab from Rection misses its intended target.

A clash of legs there as Rection blocks the low kick.
Rection looks to throw the jab but McGarrity is out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rection. McGarrity does a little dance to reset his feet.

and McGarrity cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
McGarrity shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Hugh G Rection is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rection throws out a leg kick but McGarrity moves out of range and Rection only half commits.
Rection swings for the body but McGarrity moves out of range.
McGarrity misses with a combination
and Rection counters with a nice uppercut.
Rection scores with a head kick. McGarrity tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rection scores with a hook to the body. McGarrity takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
McGarrity rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rection counters with a straight right hand.

Rection feints and then cracks McGarrity's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McGarrity down.
Rection scores with a punch to the head.
McGarrity takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McGarrity misses with a straight left.
McGarrity misses with a shot to the body
and Rection counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A swing and a miss from Rection.
A head kick misses from McGarrity.
Rection scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
McGarrity throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rection misses with an attempted mid kick.
Rection turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A big left from McGarrity misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rection lands a big uppercut and McGarrity crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but McGarrity looks OK. Rection waves McGarrity back to his feet!
McGarrity is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rection lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in McGarrity - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Rection!
