These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bradbury throws a leg kick that is checked
and Gurgel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A swing and a miss from Gurgel.
Bradbury throws a head kick that misses.
Bradbury walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Gurgel scores with a hook to the body. Bradbury takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Gurgel misses with a looping left.
Bradbury tries a head kick but it misses.
Bradbury tries to bum rush Gurgel with a series of wild strikes but Gurgel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gurgel blocks a head kick by Bradbury.
Gurgel connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Gurgel looks to land a combination. Bradbury sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bradbury looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sloppy strikes from Gurgel. Those never looked like landing.
Gurgel moves into range and connects with a jab.
Good leg kick by Bradbury there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Gurgel ducks under a wild hook from Bradbury.
Gurgel misses the body punch
and Bradbury counters with a leg kick.

Bradbury swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Gurgel cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gurgel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bradbury swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gurgel misses with a hook.
Gurgel moves out of range as Bradbury strikes.
A jab from Gurgel does it's job there.
Bradbury throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Gurgel counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Bradbury throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Joaozinho Gurgel has been cut.

and Gurgel counters with a crisp one two that drops Bradbury! Gurgel thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Bradbury to his feet! Bradbury is in big trouble!
Bradbury is rocked!
Gurgel walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Bradbury drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Gurgel swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Bradbury's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
