Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mahti Sonni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moore comes to the cage accompanied by Frank Klepacki - March to doom. Sonni has chosen Aki & Turo - Mahtisonni - as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bobby Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mahti Sonni!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore thows a left - swing and a miss!
Moore looks to land a left hand but Sonni moved out of range nicely.
Sonni lands with a slapping head kick.
Moore misses with a kick to the body.
Moore changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sonni tries to avoid it but Moore manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sonni to the ground. Sonni escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sonni throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Moore.

Sonni pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sonni has managed to clinch.

Sonni is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Moore is keeping busy.

Sonni scores with a hook to the body. Moore takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Sonni fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Moore avoids it really well and circles away.
Mahti Sonni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Moore walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sonni checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Sonni fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Moore sprawls well initially but Sonni persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sonni is trying to control. Moore wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Sonni is pressing down on Moore's thigh, looking to free his foot. Moore is holding on for now.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Moore takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Moore tries to land a leg kick but Sonni saw it coming and moves away.
Sonni doesn't manage to clinch there - Moore circles away.
Moore misses the shot to the body.
Sonni dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Moore. That did some damage!
Moore uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sonni.

Moore goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Sonni shoots in looking for a takedown but Moore manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sonni's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sonni tries to bum rush Moore with a series of wild strikes but Moore uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Moore lets loose with a powerful body kick. Sonni will feel that in the morning.

and Moore makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sonni not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Mahti Sonni showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Moore drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Moore throws a low kick, looking for Sonni's leg but Sonni calmly moves out of range.

and Moore counters with a nice body kick.
Sonni throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Moore stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

letting Sonni counter with a right hand.
Sonni tries to clinch but Moore is having none of it.

Sonni fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sonni takes one to the chin there.
Sonni bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Moore's head backwards.
Moore throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Sonni is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Moore rather than just go for the knockout.

Moore takes a swing at Sonni's ribcage but misses.
Sonni shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sonni was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sonni has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
BOOM! Sonni connects with a massive shot to the dome!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sonni is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Moore is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Mahti Sonni is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Sonni takes a little break here. Moore wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Moore is not content to let Sonni control the position.

Mahti Sonni comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sonni has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Mahti Sonni was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
