Kopec comes to the cage accompanied by Boats 'N Hoes. Guy Kopec could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Randolph Turpin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Guy Kopec!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Randolph Turpin!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turpin jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Turpin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kopec manages to avoid it.
Kopec tries to bum rush Turpin with a series of wild strikes but Turpin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Turpin on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Turpin takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A combination from Kopec does no damage.
Kopec slips a jab from Turpin.
Kopec throws a right hand that Turpin ducks under and follows up with a left that Turpin also avoids with ease.
Turpin goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Guy Kopec has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kopec shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Kopec stands up from Turpin's guard - Kopec perhaps looking for a knockout.
Turpin smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Turpin connects with a looping right hand.
Turpin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Turpin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kopec.
Kopec shoots for a double leg takedown but Turpin sprawls well. He's pushed Kopec's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kopec misses with a low kick.
Kopec throws a looping overhand right but Turpin ducks down to avoid it.
Kopec really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Turpin lands a jab to Kopec's midsection.
Kopec has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Turpin.
Kopec misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Turpin sends Kopec crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Turpin is motioning to the referee to let Kopec up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Kopec is rocked!
Randolph Turpin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Turpin works Kopec's body with a nice hook.
Oh Kopec is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kopec misses with a few strikes there.
Kopec is breathing heavily.
Turpin throws an overhand right that drops Kopec like a sack of potatoes! Turpin dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Randolph Turpin!
