Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adil Ek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gto Cooper!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cooper looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Ek!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ek can't escape the position.
Ek knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cooper on the ground.

Ek wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Cooper.

Cooper stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Cooper shoots in for a takedown but Ek shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ek moves in looking to clinch but Cooper pushes him off.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cooper is defended easily by Ek.

Ek decides to stand up, so the ref orders Cooper to his feet.

Ek bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ek is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Cooper wants to get back to his feet but Ek drags him back down.
Ek happy to just control the position for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I would just about give that final round to Gto Cooper.
I think Cooper has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
